Smoking and Pregnancy

Congratulations, you have a baby on the way what wonderful news!

Here at Smokefree Hampshire we understand how quitting smoking whilst pregnant can be difficult but we are here with free specialist support tailored to meet your needs. Click here to learn more and sign up!

We understand this is an anxious time for you and we are here to support you through your quit journey, to give your baby the best possible start in life and will also save you money to spend on your baby.

We can support you with free nicotine replacement products such as patches, gum, lozenge, inhalator or mouth spray. Alternatively, we can offer you a £25 voucher for an e-cigarette followed by 2 x £5 vouchers towards liquid refills and coils.

There is no safe level of smoking and we know that stopping smoking will benefit both you and your baby immediately as harmful gases and other damaging chemicals will clear from your body.

Smoking while pregnant creates more of a risk of your baby developing health issues.

Second-hand smoke carries the same risks to your baby as smoking itself. If your partner or anyone else who lives with you smokes, their smoke can affect you and the baby both before and after birth. You may also find it more difficult to stop if someone around you smokes. We can support you and your partner together for free.
